On Wednesday August 6, 2008, the Fox Sports broadcast of the Cincinnati Reds Game will be sponsored and dedicated to the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund.

The Reds Community Fund started with a small group of people (including Dr Tim Kremchek) over the last seven years. Our Reds Rookie Success League was first held in 2003 and today the Community Fund will achieve the million dollar mark in fund raising.

Beacon has been instrumental in raising millions of dollars to produce new baseball fields , rejuvenation of old fields poorly maintained by the city, purchasing uniforms for high risk kids, little league and knothole trips to GABP, and a mutual means of introduction to baseball throughout Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Sarasota, Florida and Southeastern Indiana.

The Fund has collaborated on projects with Joe Nuxhall, The Coaches Closet, Make a Wish, Reds Hall of Fame and along with celebrities like Ken Griffey, Ryan Freel, Aaron Harang and Marty Brennanman. (Not to mention the free injury clinics and the coaches clinics Beacon held and sponsored every May along with the Reds Charley Frank.

After taking over ownership of the Reds the owner and the very dedicated, Mr. Robert Castellini engaged his corporate staff to aid and allow the Reds Community Fund to be successful these past two years. He has kindly and boldly donated his time and effort along with the Fox support group for this coverage of tomorrow’s game. It includes 22 special segments about the Reds Community Fund board and volunteer organizational representatives.

During these three hours of broadcasting, Beacon will receive a good deal of acknowledgement and this is a priceless gift from everyone at the Reds to Beacon Orthopaedics and Dr. Kremchek for his seven years of service to our beloved Reds and keeping baseball alive in Cincinnati when it needed so badly in most of out outreach communities.

Please turn on the TVs tomorrow in all departments and learn more about what your Cincinnati Reds are doing in your very own backyard. The numbers you see on the windows of the GABP indicate just a portion of what this Fund has been able to achieve and if you are a Cincinnati Reds fan these are the numbers you want to brag about!

Pre Game starts at 12:00 PM and 12:35 PM Game time.
